What is the difference between windows XP and windows CE?

Question by Francine: What is the difference between windows XP and windows CE?
I want a cheap netbook and all the cheap ones have windows CE. I don't know what the difference is between the two of them.

windows CE is often referred to as a compact edition..but that implies it is a striped down version and it is not.
its a completely different kernel and if you are planning on buying a little laptop from a supermarket then DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT do it....

they seriously suck..CE is ok for mobile phones and thats it.

head my warning or atleast keep the reciept in a very safe place
